THE BLACK PROFESSIONALS ASSOCIATION CHARITABLE FOUNDATION APPOINTS NEW
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND MOVES OFFICE HEADQUARTERS

The Black Professionals Association Charitable Foundation has selected nonprofit development consultant, Marcella Brown as its new Executive Director. Brown is only the second Executive Director to assume the role succeeding former Director Robin Williams.

“We are excited and optimistic about our selection of Marcella Brown as BPACF’s new Executive Director.  After careful consideration and review of numerous candidates of merit, The Board of Trustees felt confident that Brown will bring the energy, strategic direction, and vision the organization needs to sustain and grow its position and mission in Northeast Ohio” says Marlon Moore, BPACF Interim Executive Director and Board Member that led the Search Process.

Earning two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Public Affairs Journalism and Spanish from The Ohio State University and a Master of Non Profit Organization from Case Western University, Brown has been committed to the Cleveland area as a lifelong resident. Brown’s dedication to Cleveland is evident as she brings substantial experience from her previous work in various Cleveland organizations such as Karamu House, Community Re-entry and Youth Opportunities Unlimited as well as volunteer civic leadership in many area organizations.

BPACF is also pleased to announce it’s relocation to a new office space at  The Urban League of Greater Cleveland, 2930 Prospect Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44115.  “BPACF is proud to lease space from the Urban League of Greater Cleveland where we believe the synergy from complimentary organizations will positively impact our community as we all seek to achieve our missions”, said Natoya Walker Minor, BPACF Board President.

Celebrating 31 years, The Black Professionals Association Charitable Foundation ends another stellar year in raising awareness and financial support for student scholarships. BPACF thanks all of its corporate and individual sponsors and friends for continued and generous support in 2011 through attendance at The 31st Anniversary Scholarship and Awards Gala in October.
